Mack led the Cougars for two seasons, compiling a 45-20 overall record during his tenure. The Cougars last made the NCAA Tournament in 2024, never appearing in the postseason tournament during Mack’s tenure.
“We are grateful for Chris and his leadership the past two seasons at the helm of our men’s basketball program. We wish him, Christi and their family nothing but the best on their next journey,” athletic director Matt Roberts said in a statement.
Roberts added that the College of Charleston remains committed to sustaining its tradition of success, noting the program ranks among the top 10 all-time in Division I winning percentage.
The school said Collegiate Sports Associates will assist in a national search for Mack’s replacement.
